COMMUNITY COLLABORATION SERIES

Interacting with Law Enforcement (2 Hours)

Presented by the Crisis Response Project (CRP), this training will focus on what is to be expected when law enforcement responds to a call or when communicating with police officers in the community. Helpful information to provide officers, questions to be expected, and typical procedures practiced will be discussed. Attendee interaction and role play will be facilitated. This training is intended for clients, Direct Support Professionals, Administrators, friends, and family members.

 

Mental Illness & Psychiatric Hospitalization (2 Hours)

This training highlights the difference between various mental illness diagnoses and developmental disabilities. Prevalence of mental illness within the developmentally disabled population will be discussed. Common mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders will be provided an overview. Presented by the Crisis Response Project (CRP), the training is intended for Direct Support Professionals, Administrators, friends, and family members.
